ORA™ non-invasive endometrial receptivity test is a cutting-edge tool designed to assess the readiness of the endometrium (the inner lining of the uterus) to accept an embryo. Unlike traditional invasive methods, ORA™ utilizes a non-invasive approach to analyze specific biomarkers associated with endometrial receptivity. This test aids fertility specialists in optimizing the timing of embryo transfer or the window of implantation (WOI) during in vitro fertilization (IVF), increasing the chances of successful implantation and pregnancy. ORA™ offers a patient-friendly, accurate, and efficient way to enhance fertility outcomes.
What is endometrial receptivity and the window of implantation (WOI)?
Endometrial receptivity refers to the status of your endometrium in relation to its ability to accept an embryo. The WOI is the period of time when the mucus membrane lining the uterus, the endometrium, is at the ideal thickness and consistency for embryo implantation. This typically occurs during days 19-21 of the menstrual cycle, but can vary from person to person.
Studies have shown that approximately 30% of patients have a displaced WOI, meaning their optimal time for embryo transfer occurs earlier or later than average, causing lack of synchronization between embryo and endometrium to result in implantation failure.
If any of the following situations apply to your patients, ORA™ may be able to help:
• A history of implantation failure or miscarriage
• Few remaining high-quality embryos
• A thinner endometrium or complicated uterine conditions
• A lower or higher BMI (optimal rage for best results is 18.6-24, however between 16-40 is acceptable)
• Age 35 or older*
*While all ages have the possibility of having a displaced WOl, recent data has shown that this is an increased possibility for patients 35 or older.
1. You will undergo a mock cycle of to create the conditions of an IVF cycle
2. Your doctor will collect a blood sample from you on day 4* and day 5 of progesterone administration or day 6* and day 7 for natural cycles (after LH surge or hCG trigger shot)
3. Your sample will be sent to an ORA™ laboratory for processing and data analysis
4. An ORA analysis report will be provided to your doctor, informing them of the optimal time for embryo transfer
*An additional blood draw on day 4 of HRT cycles or day 6 of natural cycles is dependent. on your physician’s practice and way between clinics. In the case of a single blood draw
on day 5 only, the chances of needing an additional mock cycle will increase.
